I own a pwma230. It operates fairly effectively except it does not appear to be as loud as 200W. So when the pwma930i was on the market, I recommended it to my church which purchased 1 from mail order. I also bought one particular for myself by means of Amazon. Each units made a pretty loud hissing noise even when the volume was turned way down and there was no input. The units also produced humming noise when AC was put to use. Becoming an engineer myself, I believe the noise is either due to poor design (some sort of cross-speak), or poor workmanship. I sent an e mail to Pyle Audio, and there was no answer. I would not suggest this item unless the challenge is fixed.

I asked Amazon to replace my unit. With no a surprise the replacement unit exhibited the same hissing noise and AC hum. I returned the church unit to Pyle for repair.
